The Healthy Foundations Lifestages Segmentation Model uses consumer insight to inform local and national health improvement activities. It takes an evidence-based approach to understanding some of the population differences that influence behaviour and have an impact on health, with a particular focus on health inequalities. When added to demographic, behavioural and epidemiological data, it has the potential to be a vital tool for ensuring that people are at the heart of service delivery. This report is the second in a series of two and documents the results of the qualitative analysis.

Key Insight

'The model identifies five segments with very different health behaviours and attitudes. These are Health Concious Realists, Balanced Compensators, Hedonistic Immortals, Live for Todays and Unconfident Fatalists.'
