The Healthy Foundations Lifestage Segmentation Model uses consumer insight to inform local and national health improvement activities. It takes an evidence-based approach to understanding some of the population differences that influence behaviour and have an impact on health, with a particular focus on health inequalities. When added to demographic, behavioural and epidemiological data, it has the potential to be a vital tool for ensuring that people are at the heart of service delivery. This report is the first in a series of two and documents the results of the quantitative analysis.

Key Insight

'The model identifies five segments with very different health behaviours and attitudes. There are: Health Concious Realists, Balanced Compensators, Hedonistic Immortals, Live for Todays and Unconfident Fatalists.'
